Random Story: Pre-History
Kaar, a small orange and black striped sabertooth tiger, looked down into the valley below him, his face impassive. It was early spring, and already the valley was full of newborn dinosaurs. Nests of pterodactyls lined the cliffs and below them, baby dinosaurs of every variety froliced, Triceratops good-humoredly butting at each other, Raptors playfully fighting, rolling around in the long grass, infant Brontosaurs timidly hiding behind their parents.
Kaar licked his lips. Traditionally this valley was the one place where baby dinosaurs of any species could be safe, where no other species would attack them for fear of what would happen to their own young, but Karr didn't much care for tradition. He knew that he was different from the other animals in this valley, so their traditions didn't apply to him. And he was hungry, very, very hungry.
As he watched, an infant Triceratops seperated itself from its herd and walked over to get a drink from one of the valley's many lakes, just out of its mothers view. Kaar grinned and slowly walked down from his viewpoint and into the valley, then stealthy started to stalk the young triceratops, Kaar's stripes making him seem just like a shadow in the long grass.
He waited until the triceratops was as far away as it was likely to get from its herd, then crept forward slowly, tensed all of his muscles, and leapt.
Suddenly a group of baby compys burst from the bush nearby, startling the triceratops. It jerked to the left, causing Kaar, claws and teeth bared, to miss by inches, landing on the hard ground with a thump. Dazed, Kaar raised his proud head and looked to the left, where the triceratops, now severly frightened, was running back towards its mother.
He growled and raced after it, vowing not to let it get away, but as its mother saw it and then Karr, she let out a bellow of rage, lowered her head and charged at the sabertooth. Kaar tried to get out of the way, but it was to late. The mother triceratops, easily four times his size, crashed into him and tossed him into the air with one lift of her massive head.
Kaar came crashing back down to the ground, then looked around, purple lights dancing in front of his eyes. The mother triceratops was no-where to be seen. He tried to get to his feet, but suddenly a huge weight crashed down on his back, pinning him to the ground. He yelped in suprise, and twisted and writhed around desperatly, but the mother triceratops's foot had him firmly held against the ground.
She quickly flipped the sabertooth over so that he was staring up at her rage maddened eyes, then placed all four feet on Kaar's body, crushing him severely, before stomping up and down with all four feet, trampling the sabertooth's body. Kaar yelps and writhes, but it does nothing to shake off the mother triceratops, who is slowly but thoroughly squishing the sabertooth.
She stomps on him for a good half an hour, trampling and grinding him into the dust, flattening his entire body with her massive weight and huge, plate-like feet, then, not satisfied that he has been squished enough, lowers her huge bulk ontop of him, squishing him beneath her stomach then rolling from side to side, his tiny body absolutely crushed beneath her massive one, steamrolled by every movement she makes, his whimpers and yelps unheard beneath her massive piles of fat.
Slowly her rage subsides as she settles down on top of him, relaxing her body and somewhat enjoying the feeling of squishing a smaller creature beneath her. She bounces a bit on her stomach, then rolls over and peels the completely flat Kaar off of her belly and decides he has had enough punishment. She leaves him lying flat on the ground and walks back to her herd.
After a while the sabertooth tiger's body heals itself and he staggers disorientidly across the valley, stumbling and tripping over his feet as he recovers from the shock of being crushed completely flat. But a small part of him can't help but thinking: Thats right, I can take anything you can throw at me. I was crushed under a triceratops and i survived. I am invincible. Somewhere deep inside of him he starts to laugh, it starts as a rough giggle, but then swells into a full insane laugh. Invincibe! No-one could kill him! He could do anything! He could take on the worl-
Then he noticed the shadow around him, and looked up.
The massive female brontosaurus settled her massive butt down and bounced up and down to get comfortable. There was a small lump where she was sitting that she could feel through her butt, but after a bit of bouncing and grinding it flattened out and she relaxed and watched the other dinosaurs frolicing happily.
Beneath her seventy-five ton frame, Kaar whimpered.
